Pop Culture

The pop culture definitely influences a lot of society. It has for many generations and generations to come. It has negative and positive influences to the American Culture. Pop culture dictates what and who we listen. What type of technology we are going to buy and how we express ourselves? If an artist is going to be around for a very long time or just for a brief season. The internet and social media apps like Instagram, Twitter , Snapchat, and other apps have it made it possible for you to almost get a real life experience without actually being their during the moment. These outlets have allow pop culture to reach out to the masses and places where most people don’t normally pay attention to certain details.

A prime example has been this past year for the Super 50 halftime. Pop culture dominated the air waves because Coldplay, Beyoncé, and Bruno Mars performance. Especially Beyoncé and her Black Panther representation during halftime. This was viewed all around the world and showed how a celebrity of that magnitude can shape an entire country. This had positive and negative reviews. I think it brought awareness to fact that not only do black live matter, but all lives matter. Also, that we should look into our gun laws and policies.

The different genres/forms of pop culture I feel have the same platform. There isn’t any genre or form that is better than the other one, but they do have their own responsibility in broadcasting a positive message to their listeners.  Some take that stage and utilize to promote positive messages into the world and lead by example. While others take a different approach to sell more records, follow the trends and increase revenue. Both exposures teach right from wrong and still gives a message for people to know that they have choice in life. Regardless, of what choice you make it has a consequence that follows.

The area of pop culture that interest me is technology. Technology is continuously shifting and changing the world every day.  Our movies are changing with interaction now being in 3D. Also, we have a different smartphone coming out every couple of months.

I would like to learn how to be better evaluate and express the information that I am writing.

As far as a clever name for the blog. You should call it the Expression wall.
