This piece by Banksy is postmodern because of his play on words. Bansky is using a homeless man who everyone would assume is begging for money and when reading his sign he says that he wants change but in a smaller script he says keep your coins. So for those who only take a quick glimpse of it you would assume that he is begging for money, but the text has a deeper meaning. This homeless man is talking about the state of our world, where it matters more about how you look and what you have then the kind of person you are. The image implies that the fight is not with only the government but its against the morality of the average person. The image implies that the any person that would normally walk by this homeless man has the ability to help change the world. Banskys art is relevant to everyone no matter of where they live or when the were born. Its something relatable that appears as one thing but means something else which is one of the essential elements of postmodernism.
